Prodromal stage and clinical features of late-onset schizophrenia and schizophrenia-like psychosis

Introduction The early diagnostic of schizophrenia and other psychosis is very important for the therapeutic interventions. Objectives aim to describe connection between prodromal stage clinical features. Methods 74 patients with late-onset (mean age 64,33±9, 2 male; onset 55,3±11,2): (LOS) (n=49, mean 63,0±8,47, 53,9±9,56), schizoaffective disorder (LOSaD) (n=17, 62,4±6,5, 54,6±10,6, male), late delusion (LODD) (n=8, 76,6±4,3, 65,2±17,0). Psychopathological, statistical methods were applied. Results Allocated 4 types – 1 st without psychopathological signs (n=24, 33%), nd affective like disturbances mood, anxiety (n=18, 24%), 3 rd paranoid acute stress-related reactions medication; th - schizoid overvaluated ideas. In group next syndromes prevailed: secondary persecutory mood-congruent delusions (n=10, 41,7%); auditory second-person pseudohallucinations sistematyzed (n=9, 37,5%); only systematized (n=1, 4,1%); bizzarre (n=3, 12,5%) polymorphic symptoms, include different hallucinations, catatonia disorders some oneiroid state 4,1%). this 9 diagnosed LOS (37,5%); 12 LOSaD (50%) LODD (12,5%). was presented (n=5, 27.7%), mood (n=11, 61%), systemized delusional 5.5% (n=1) 5.5%). (66%), 5 (28%) patient (5.5%). these (n=7, 63%), in cases (18.2%), bizarre (18.2%). (n=10.91%) (1.9%). 23.8%), 14.3%), (n=6, 28.6%), 4.7%), (n=2, 9.5%) symptoms (n=4, 20%). 18 (85.7%) (14.3%).
